Complete communities are becoming a recurring keyword in urban renewal across China. Cases from various places show that community development is no longer just about addressing individual shortcomings such as food markets, parking, and eldercare; instead, it is reorganizing public services, convenience-oriented commerce, municipal facilities, public spaces, property management, and community governance mechanisms within a single framework. At the same time, technologies such as cloud platforms, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and big data are being incorporated into grassroots governance and community service systems, helping communities move from “well-equipped facilities” toward “coordinated services.” Summary: Related work promoted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, along with practices in various places, indicates
